The Brief
Dunfanaghy Family Resource Centre required a refreshed and accessible website to reflect its vital role as a community hub offering support, connection, and development opportunities for families and individuals in Dunfanaghy and surrounding areas. The goal was to create a welcoming digital presence that clearly communicates the range of services available—such as information and advice, parenting and toddler groups, counselling, wellbeing events, and community outreach—and encourages local engagement.
The Approach
The design focused on clarity, warmth, and community connection. The site was structured to guide users effortlessly through essential areas like services, upcoming events, support groups, and contact details. Gentle, community-led imagery and friendly typography reinforce the centre’s welcoming and supportive ethos.
Key accessibility features were embedded, including clear navigation, responsive design for mobile and desktop users, and readable font choices, ensuring all users—parents, carers, professionals, and older adults—can access content easily.
Service highlights are organised clearly: practical information on the parent & toddler group schedule—held Monday 10:30am–12:00pm, Tuesday 10:00am–12:00pm, plus a Sunday buggy-walk at 11:00am —counselling and play-therapy offerings brought in through the Pastoral Centre Counselling service , and community-forming activities such as leadership training and outward-bound visits like the Arranmore Island summer reconnection trip .
The Result
The new website positions Dunfanaghy FRC as a beacon of community support and inclusion. With clear navigation and an inviting tone, it makes it simple for families to find support or activities. Mobile optimisation, transparent service details, and community success stories all work together to foster trust and participation. The site now serves as an engaging gateway for connection, help-seeking, and local involvement—strengthening the centre’s reach and positive impact throughout the community.
