Begley’s Pharmacy, a family-run independent pharmacy serving Donegal Town since 1984, required a refreshed, user-friendly website that reflects their long-standing commitment to providing professional, accessible healthcare and quality personal services. The goal was to clearly communicate the breadth of their offerings—from prescription accuracy to wellness advice and premium cosmetic lines—while reinforcing their reputation for friendly, community-oriented care.
The Approach
The design concentrated on clarity, trustworthiness, and a welcoming atmosphere. The site structure guides visitors through key areas such as prescription services, health advice, cosmetic collections, and contact options. A clean, organised layout and consistent visual cues ensure users—whether patients needing medical support or customers exploring beauty products—can find what they need swiftly.

A clear “About Us” section emphasising their status as a family-run pharmacy since 1984 led by John and Madeline Begley, projecting warmth and reliability.
A comprehensive prescription section featuring electronic prescription service, weekly blister-pack medicine trays (free for HSE-approved patients), efficient sourcing during shortages, and a private consultation available for vaccinations.
A health and wellness suite offering free blood pressure checks, diabetes monitor supply and guidance, over-the-counter medication advice, and smoking cessation support—reinforcing their role as a trusted health partner.
A beauty and cosmetics range, showcasing exclusive agents such as Clarins, Elizabeth Arden, Inglot, and La Roche-Posay, along with stocked luxury perfume lines and seasonal promotions.
Additional in-store conveniences like passport/ID photo services, and home delivery of prescriptions for patient ease.
Up-to-date contact information, clear opening hours (Mon–Sat 09:10/09:15 to 18:10/18:00, closed Sunday), and location details all prominently displayed.
An online shop section featuring beauty, skincare, fragrances, and baby essentials—with free shipping on orders over €99, secure payments, and a promise of being fully Irish owned (over 40 years in business).
